From Student to Immigrant – Toronto Metropolitan University

Since 2021, I have been a researcher in a wonderful team of scholars from Toronto Metropolitan University, led by Professor Rupa Banerjee. From Student to Immigrant: The Migration Trajectories of Former International Students in Canada investigated the life stories of almost forty people who have come to study in Canada, focusing on their aspirations and perceptions of Canada.

My tasks in the project focused on conducting a literature review and assisting in designing the theoretical framework of the project, co-designing the research tools, conducting interviews with former international students in Canada. Our team’s article can be found below:
